abakus BYes solar UK Limited commissions portfolio of three solar farms totalling 56.4 MWp in the UK

(Mynewsdesk) abakus BYes solar UK Limited commissions portfolio of three solar farms 56.4  in the UK
abakus solar AG and  Energies & Services are continuing their successful Joint Venture and have commissioned three large scale photovoltaic projects in the UK.
The projects are:
* Berwick, East Sussex: 8.2 MW
* Bottom Plain, : 10.1MW
* Great Wilbraham, : 38.1MW All projects have been built for Low Carbon, the renewable energy investor. The projects have a total capacity of 56.4 MWp.
Overall, 220,000 poly-crystalline modules and 31 central inverter stations were installed. All projects are connected to the 33 kV grid.
The Great Wilbraham project located in Cambridgeshire has a capacity of 38.1 MWp and is built on 148 acres. The construction started in October and was connected to the grid in early March 2015. This is the largest solar PV project our client, Low Carbon, has  to date and the largest single site to be built to date by both Bouygues E&S and abakus solar AG in the world.
abakus solar was responsible for the engineering and the design of all solar power plants and was also leading on the qualification process of the main photovoltaic components and commissioning of the parks.
Bouygues Energies & Services was responsible for all civil and electrical construction works of the solar parks. As a licensed Independent Connections Provider in the UK the company has delivered the grid connection work at Bottom Plain.
The Joint Venture is also providing O&M services for all projects.
“We are happy that we continue our successful relationship with Low Carbon and we think that handling this bundle of projects is again a convincing demonstration of abakus BYes being one of the leading EPC and O&M companies for solar in the UK” says Roland , CEO of abakus solar AG.
“Solar is now a significant part of our activities in the UK and we are looking forward to delivering more projects in 2015” says Edward Peeke, Managing Director of Bouygues E&S Infrastructure UK Limited.
